2 cent piece you should know about!

In this video we will talk about the 2 cent piece you should know about.
The 2 cent piece is a short, but challenging series to collect. Finding them in good condition is not easy either, since most of them were heavily circulated back then. They also have many very pricey varieties and we cover them all. We even talk about the prototype patterns, history and of course their most recent values.

Thank You for watching and as always remember to check your change. You might have more money in your pocket than you think!

  1. I have a 1864 small motto. Under the WE in the top of shield there’s a golden color dot. Any ideas? It’s enclosed in coin case. Got it back in 90’s

  2. Never seem one before nor heard of the minting of such a coin.. And are these coins the same size as a penny? Or larger? What type of metal planched was used in the production of these 2c coins?

  3. No, I didn’t know about these coins!! Thxs…. Looking forward to my scale and 225 anniversary coins. Great work and quality👍👍🙂

  4. I have 1868 and love it. Absolutely in beautiful condition. i bought it about 6 months ago for my grandson.

  5. Hello, I’ve been interested and collecting the 2 cent coins for 60+ years. I was a kid arrowhead hunting in a field near Hindostan Falls in Martin county Indiana where I found a 1866 and a 1868 in remarkably good condition as they were not quite 100 years old when I found them. I’ve been coin collecting and Artifact collecting all my life. I find both wonderful hobbies.

  6. Actually I have found a couple of those in my Collection of coins I’ll have to check those out a little closer

  7. Awesome video, I do like the 2 cent coin a lot but I’m working on a 3 cent Nickel set, this one is a bear. Take care.

  8. Have some questions regarding the coins that I have were a couple of them actually really really vintage looking discoloration some I think they’re called cuds on them anymore can help?

  9. I didnt know about the 2 Cent coin until watching your the video of Nickel Coin Roll hunt. It seems to be an interesting coin. Being the first coin to have “In God We Trust” on it. It would be the doorway to having the phrase put on all coins. Definitely will keep an eye out I would like to find one.

  10. The 2 cent coins are one of my favorites. I didn’t know about them until we started metal detecting, but since then have found 4 of them, though nothing later than 1865. Hope you both are doing fantastic! 👍🙋‍♀️🙋
