90% Junk Silver For Beginners – Silver Stacking U.S. Constitutional 101 (Pros & Cons)

This is my favorite type of silver for silver stackers to buy, as I believe it is the clear favorite in the current environment of relatively high premiums. They key thing is low premiums with good liquidity and recognizability, and this really hits on all fronts in addition to having collector upside and a whole host of other benefits, with very minimal downsides. Let me know your thoughts in the comments – excited to make this recommendation.

  1. Crushed the like button 👍 Thank you so much for sharing! 90% silver constitutional American coins 🪙 are my favorite, just because of the thought of how many people from different eras paid for things and it just feels like real money with intrinsic value!

  2. My Constitutional get offended being called Junk. Just kidding Christian, I know you respect these coins. Thanks for all that you do.

  3. you mentioned an example of these coins trading at 20 times face value… does that also change minute by minute/day by day etc…where can i easily look up current value? Great video, you inspired me to try this out! lastly what is least costly method ( in general, dont need to get into detailed analysis) for acquiring “junk” silver…( major traders like Monex/jb buion/ampex…OR local shops???)

    1. I am working on my own tool – CoinMeltPrice.com – though it’s not up to snuff just yet. There’s also CoinFlation.com. I like having the local shops as you can often get better (not unbelievable, but cheaper) deals than online.

  4. I live just out side of Scranton PA the birth place of BRANDON. There is nowhere near me that doesn’t charge a premium of less the 20× face on junk silver. I find it to be a little to much but do you consider that to be good or the norm now. Love to know opinions across the community. Thanks

    1. I haven’t kept tabs on what things are trading for this very moment, but that’s a solid 12-13% premium, which feels high. If your personal price target is $50, the premium isn’t too bad, it really depends what you are thinking.

  5. ~~WAVES~~ AWESOME VIDEO AND ADVICE!! I REALLY HAVENT GOT INTO COLLECTING THOSE, I GOT ADDICTED TO MORGANS, BUT LATELY I HAVE BEEN THINKING MORE AND MORE OF DOING THIS, I HAVE STARTED AGAIN THIS YEAR, BUYING SILVER FOR MY 3 GRAND DAUGHTER TO HAVE WHEN IM GONE, IM 66, LOL, BUT MY OLDEST GRAND DAYGHTER HAS GOTTEN INTO COIN HUNTING WITH ME, WE HAVE A BLAST, AND WATCHING THE EXCITMENT ON HERE FACE WHEN WE FIND SOMETHING OLD AND RARE,MAKES ME HAPPY, THANKS CHRISTIAN, BE SAFE, BILL/SURFER

  6. I wish I could get 90% for only 5% over melt, but it seems like the going rate at my coin shop and others that I have heard of, is more like 16% over melt. Still better than some of the bullion coins and bars though.
