EPIC Silver Coins Found at Bank – Silver Coin Collection Dump for Face Value!
What an Epic Silver Score from a lucky chance encounter at the bank… I paid Face Value for 1,560 half dollar coins – all of which ended up being silver! We purchased 39 full rolls of silver coins, each holding 40 coins in total and some of which were 90% silver! Plus, another 324 old bills – silver certificates, red seals, etc!
So… I pop into my bank to pick up my box order and the teller asks me if I wanted to buy some extra half dollars that were dropped off by a customer… I was thinking it was just going to be searched rolls being returned, but one look at one roll (inside) and I knew I was buying it all!
It's the stuff you "hear" about but never actually witness or think you'll ever get the chance at… it was definitely one of my luckiest days ever!
In this video, I'll explain the story and show my silver score – including the varieties we were able to find among all of the silver half dollars we scored! As an FYI – I will be uploading the silver certificate hunt in a future video.
I hope you enjoy the video and always be looking, asking and searching! They are STILL out there just waiting for us to find and stack!
As always – Happy Hunting and Thanks for Watching AND keep Stacking that silver my friends!!!

$5,300 silver value (current price $17.84/ounce)!!!!!! Bahahahaha that’s so crazy!
This is the reason my day is better.
That sure is epic!
You lucky bastard you! Great video!
EPIC Sliver Coin collection at the bank and dump for face value. Great video RobFindsTreasure. 👍🏻
UN…..FREAKING…..REAL!!!!!!! One could only wish and hope for a day like this Rob! I’m soo stoked for you! 🙂 great find man!
Just a note to collectors. Make sure someone you know and trust knows what you have, and what it’s worth. And are banks not allowed to tell people they are making a mistake? And why would the bank not tell their employees to keep all silver for the bank? This is a great score for you, Rob, congratulations!
Being a BofA customer I can say that their tellers give no shits about what they process, at least when it comes to the corporate side. Corporate is too focused on making sure BofA’s massive fee schedules and any additional fees are paid/assessed on their poorer customers to pay attention to the coins and bills their tellers receive. They just see the face-value dollar signs, and that’s all the tellers put into the system. I wish I was rich enough to be able to walk up to my local banks asking if they have anything interesting like this, but alas I am not in that position yet (not even close), sadly!
That covers collectors of all things, some things look like nothing of real value and are worth a ton of money. The problem is a lot of times family members don’t share the same affection for a hobby, and dump the stuff not caring what they lose on it.
In a perfect world if there is nobody collecting coins yes, they would tell somebody they’re making a big mistake. We all too honest truth of ideas a lot of your bank tellers are also coin collectors themselves and if they see a silver half dollar or a Morgan or anything like that they jump on it. If I was employed as a teller, I would if it didn’t interfere with me legally doing my job
The amount of jealousy I have right now is unfathomable… 😂 Congrats Rob!!! You deserve it for all you do for the coin collecting community!
What an epic score Rob! Truly am happy for you brother, your the reason I got into coins & roll hunting. Can’t thank you enough for the great videos.
If a teller gave me just one of those rolls I’d be stoked. That massive score will never be beat. Amazing
This truly was EPIC! Could really hear the excitement in your voice too! You honestly deserve this with all of the time and effort you put into the hobby. I can’t wait to watch the additional videos you post associated with this score!
I am just sitting here with my jaw on the floor. I would have totally crapped my pants at the bank, and they would have had to call a code brown! WOW!!! I am SO HAPPY for you Rob!!! This is incredibly epic and every coin collector’s dream!!! Amazing!!!!!
I know right its crazy, well at least they’re in good hands now
That is insane!!! I can’t believe someone cashed all that in at face value. You are incredibly lucky, and I’m sure I’m not the only one jealous of your find! Really good to see them go to someone who appreciates their value. Simply incredible.
I am just sitting here absolutely speechless. I knew on the stream when you brought this up that it was going to be amazing, but boy was I absolutely wrong at the insane scale of how CRAZY this pickup was, and is. This is likely a once in a life time find, and the fact that you preserved the find on video is the best thing ever. Keep hunting ’em, Rob! You never know what you’re gonna find next. I can’t wait for the next videos in this “series” if you will, but I’ll just have to be patient!
Nice haul Rob. Amazing what lack of knowledge on someone’s part can result in. Shows us that we should make sure our heirs know the value of stuff like this!
Rob, there are not enough adjectives to describe this. First, and foremost, your best epic score was finding Charlani. She has so much love, faith, and patience with you, doing what you do for the good of your hobby, and the coin community. You have repeatedly said to build a good relationship with your banking team members. Your words of wisdom have been proven so true. The bank team members know and understand you, your business, and your passion. Their reciprocation is shown by letting you know what they have in their posession, and invited you to view and purchase the lot of coins and bills. Some comments in this thread seem to make it sound like they don’t know what they have, but I believe they do. You said you might share your gratitude with them, with a token of appreciation. Drop the “might” and just do it. These moments may not come around again. All I can say brother is congratulations on this lot being acquired by you. Cheers!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude, that is flippin’ unbelievable! That is a collector’s DREAM! We are absolutely and totally blown AWAY! Congrats, brother. Everybody deserves to find a deal like this sometime in their collecting life. Wow….
Holy Cow, Rob! This is like winning the lottery. For a coin roll hunter, it can’t get any better than this. Congratulations!!!
Rob, I very rarely comment on CRH vids. I’ve been doing this a long time. You are the first person I’ve seen to top my biggest single customer wrapped score of exactly 333 halves. Most 90% with lots of Franks and Walkers. It is truly incredible what you came across and had the luck that the tellers didn’t buy them. Congratulations Sir!
If the teller saw this video, I have a feeling she might buy them for herself next time.
This happened at my bank too. A young girl came in the back with 50 Morgan silver dollars and cashed them in for $50. The guy who was in line behind her told the teller he wanted to buy them all and he got them for $50. You know her dad or grandpa is rolling in his grave.
Well thats kinda mess up for not educating that poor girl on what she was doing. Basically robbed her blind.
@Crimin4L I agree. However, it was the mother who sent her to the bank with the coins. My take on it was they were clearing out his collection after he passed and wasn’t concerned about the real value of the coins. Sad.
@Lastman Standing Ahh okay yea that’s a shame. I blame the education system & society. But It does serve as an example why we need to educate our families on precious medals before we sadly kick the bucket.
@Crimin4L I agree with you 100%. 👍
If you have a precious coin and metal collection and the people in your will that’s getting it educate them on every single piece before you kick the bucket so this doesn’t happen and that metals and coins and wealth stays in the family to help start a generations to come of old money so your future generations are financially set
Rest in Peace to the poor old man who’s family just cashed in his life’s work. His collection was epic. I hope his family spends his hard earned cash wisely. Congrats Rob
Yep my thoughts exactly 🤷♂️🤦♂️
How could the y just bring it to the bank to get face value for those coins? That’s a damn shame.
That is why I don’t put mine in paper rolls, but also why I label them 90% or 40% silver , let someone know what you have just the 64s are worth over 3000$s wow cool video
@James Robinson They either (a) didn’t want to deal with selling it or (b) just didn’t know. Often collecters can hoard and overload what their heirs have to do to earn any real money – most hoards are full of absolute garbage, and most people older than 30 know that. For instance, my stepdad gave me his comic collection, one I originally was going to ebay one by one but that I quickly found out was implausable given that it was in the thousands (probably ten-thousands) of pre 70s comics – I sold the whole thing for a flat fee of $2500 to the comic shop down the street when I moved; by the time they closed down, they had over four times as much in individual comics with more than half of my stepdad’s motherload still unsearched. If I had blood and tears and sold those guys, I probably would have had ten times that much money.
This is what ignorance looks like, unfortunately. I’d haunt every one of the poor souls that cashed all my constitutional in at face value.
Whoever gave that to the bank dishonored their loved one’s wishes. You know damn well that someone as meticulous as that stacker was would never have bought off on rolling that collection down to the local BofA for less than $800. I am so glad that the coins made their way back to Rob, who will truly appreciate the value of the collection.
Sure did
And here I thought I got lucky finding 22 40% at my bank the other day, this is an amazing find. You barely see that type of dump anymore more and I’m glad it went to someone deserving! 2 years late to saying this, but congrats on the score Rob, Happy Hunting!
This would be one of the greatest coin collecting days of my life. I would also think of the person it belonged to. The family wasn’t informed on how to liquidate his life’s work and savings 😢 Please educate the people you’re leaving your collection to so this doesn’t happen. Congrats Doc and an amazing score.
