When I had the opportunity to jump on a large deal of interesting Asian and ancient numismatics, I seized my chance and decided to jump in head-first. I had been neglecting this area for a long time, as I was quite intimidated by the vast swaths of history that I was unaware of, but I think I've caught the bug. Whether it is understanding the various Japanese shogunates or the countless Chinese dynasties or the Indonesian & Southeast Asian issuers, there is so much that I have to learn, and I hope to take you with me on that journey.

Hi
It’s really weird someone wrote a 3 on a Roman coin.
Inventory number.
Nice info!!!
For sure!
Pretty nice purchase. Chinese Cash coins are always a little bit tricky. Tons of them were found until today, and tons of counterfeits are produced until today for tourist traps and the international markets. Nevertheless I think that the majority of these mostly poured coins are genuine. For an identification we use the Schjoeth catalogue over here. Greets from GER, U.
Every time a new imperial ascended the throne, they minted extreme numbers of coins.
I agree – and I’ve been using Schjoth reference numbers too!
Hi sir
Good information sir 👍
Thanks!
Interesting, nice to see some more uncommon ancients. Hope you didn’t pay too much for those copper rounds. Alot of people use them as give aways.
Yes ! I used own several ancient chinese coins. ( 2000 bc.) They had no value at all…(copper)
My bad, i meant 1000 bc.(typing error)
I overpaid a bit but have broken even / lost a little on average. Not horrible.
@inja shiran I honestly have no clue what the Chinese coins are worth. I was talking about the newly minted copper rounds. What something is worth is only as much as someone is willing to pay. Find someone trying to get a complete dynasty or era they might pay big. I mean there are people who pay thousands for Lincoln cents that have slight errors.
@Treasure Town I’m sure it will work out. You have alot of awsome coins. Your venturing into a new are and alot of people will appreciate that, I do. I grow exotic plants and there’s a saying… For every successful plant grown you’ll kill one.
The ancient chinese coins used to be inexpensive, just above base metal value. (not including gold and silver )
They’ve ticked up!
Thanks for the info!
I LOVE the cash coins. I love collecting ancient coins like them!
Thanks for showing. I’ve been enjoying some Asian coins being in your auctions. I’ve been able to win a few.
For sure! Glad you got to pick some of them up!!

it’s so refreshing to see something other than mostly American coinage🍻

What type of book were you talking about that you use to identify all of your Japanese coins with all those numbers?
