Is it ok if I call my buddy, he watches the show all the time he’ll be able to give me a good idea of whether it’s worth it XD hahaha
hello I have some old coins one from 1928 of the buffalo one cent from 1944 and one 1945
wtf tero friend said it all checks out, can offer 1-2 hours of my life a week. Best I can do!!! lol
@ayy jayy aaaa!AAA’s aqa aaaaaa
I want to see an episode when people changed their mind and came back to sell
That would be awesome!
You bet
No
There was one seller in that came back to sell his NBA coach ring
It has happened many time once with a horse racing gambling machine
PS; it is very entertaining to see such collected knowledge in a pawn shop, wonderful, love your show.
Its staged
I love how he explains every item then says he doesn’t know anything about it and calls a buddy😂
Had the same thought. He knows a lot about stuff he knows nothing about.
@David Kaplan I figured because they have to do a whole setup and they have to sign forms or something for the sellers to be on Tv so one of the guys does a little research and then has the buddy on standby hahaha
Classic 😂
Its all staged, they get to Google info before going on camera, the shop has a separate filming set, people in the background are all actors.
He might not know exactly how much they’ll sell for
Everyone is mad when they get a low offer but they forget it’s a pawn shop…
Lmaooo
It’s also a tv show
But it’s all staged for TV, so…
@Rod Bender Its actually not staged. Its a real pawn shop. I stopped in when I went to Vegas. Its a lot smaller in person. I saw some of the items they bought on TV for sale so I’m assuming it’s not staged. The funny dialog between the guys i.e Chum, Rick and Corey is probably scripted though.
@Mobius One Was Rick there at the counter?
Rick is the epitome of the pawn shop guy . Bring him something worth 100 bucks and he’ll tell you it’s worth 10.. he’ll talk you down to 7….then he tells us it’s worth 500
Would you buy it for $500 to try and sell it at $500?
@Daral Campbell Ouch !
Ja
@David Bullis business 101, make money.
@avega2792 repeat customers are best. I’d try to buy for 300 and sell for 500
Rick: *gives powerpoint presentation on item*
Also Rick: “I need to get an expert I don’t know anything about this”
I really think they get the items, they research the item then film the bit to make them seem knowledgeable about everything. Rarely does something come in they have no idea about.
Realistically, Rick could know an overview on a lot of things, but not know the market. While the show is fake, that bit is realistic
@Boe Sephes Dude I know right
@Darth Feraligatr yeah i dont get how people dont get that. I know a lot about a lot of things but if you asked me to put a price on it id be clueless.
@John Schooley I’ve noticed that especially with Chumlee it’s like he’s reading straight from wikipedia.
Rick actually gives professional business advice through the concerns he explains.
I sure love Chumlee. He added such a warm levity and was a beast at dealing with all the Harrison quips. 😄🤟
Love how Rick can make himself laugh better than anyone else. 😂
Folks !, big news, ITS A BUSINESS
19:58
At least he’s someone who can make himself smile and laugh. People could use that trait nowadays.
I love when the person knows about the item they brought in and Rick still explains it to them lmao
They stage that to explain it to us
been on a binge of Pawn Stars videos today, and interesting to see the repeat customers, but always look forward to a book appraisal!
I’m a sapiosexual and Rebecca is wickedly intelligent, so…yeah.
I second that
@dark14life hi baby
anyone else in a pawn stars loop and cant stop binging them?
Love this video piece. I been watching on and off Pawn Stars for years. Never disappoint. Educational and fun to watch. They are still doing it.
Rick ALMOST had me for a second when he said “You know what, I’m feeling very generous today…” 😆
Dude bumped it up 50 cents 😂
Realistically at auction *if* he gets the full 15k valuation he makes 1.7k on it at his purchase price after auction house takes their cut.
“Sweet!”
I love how the experts are never busy and can always come down
sometimes they are..
It’s a show, they let them know a head of time
Theres actually episode that the deal didnt get trough as the expert unavailable and rick doesn’t want to risk it.
And theres also an episode where rick just go trough the deal without the expert opinion as they’re unavailable. I think its about japanese swords if im not mistaken.
Funny how scripted shows play out.
Always a pleasure when Rebecca makes an appearance.
She smokin
I remember the Old Man speaking of her when Corey was sent to stop by her shop and the Old Man said, “He’s happy to do that, ’cause Rebecca’s a hottie!”
glad someone else agrees
I love the viking gold that Rick wears. After I saw that episode I keep seeing the bracelet worn by Rick. He’s so happy he made that deal.
I knew that was it!
so funny because I have been on a marathon of these compilations last few days and just was watching this very video and asking myself “Is that the gold Viking bracelet?”
I like this Pawn Stars series, because not only do I learn about collectibles and antiques, I learn very much about history. It’s very cool.
I like how he explains every item to everyone like if they don’t know what they’re selling 😂
