Rare Penny Found – Roll Hunting New York Penny Boxes
In this video, I will be roll hunting two boxes of pennies (both from New York State) with one being a customer wrapped rolls box and one being a bank wrapped rolls box, hoping to find valuable pennies… I will be looking for old Wheat Pennies, pennies from the 60's and 70's, any Indian Head Pennies, and of course any errors and varieties we may find (especially ones minted in Philadelphia).
I want to thank @The NYS Lotto Scratcher for sending me the boxes in trade!
Let's see what goodies I get!
Keep hunting and good luck!
They're still out there for us to find!

Do you have any boxes for Wednesday night hunt available? Tuesday is my birthday and I’d like to get my first ever box from you!!
Hey Rob! I got a $20 star note today and looked it up and it came up on the “more rare” side. Let me know if interested.
Yes I am in upstate NY and I routinely get at least that number of Canadians. Kg canadians are also found here fairly often. I also get at least 12 to 18 wheats per box typically. Found a 1911 S last year! NY boxes are good!
Wow…that was a better box than I ever knew. Glad you got the epic find on that 1994 P. Thank you for the mats, they are amazing and make coin hunting so much easier. Amazing video
Bro where did you get those customer wrapped rolls??? Btw I’m from New Haven but I’m always in NY 🗽
My bank offered them to me when I was asking for 3 boxes of pennies. They only had 1 unc. 1 cir. 1 customer wrap. I took them all for the trade
What a cool box! Congrats on the 94 ddr brother. That was my very first variety find a few years back. 👍✌
That was a epic hunt the sheer amount of Canadian pennies was awesome
I love to hunt penny rolls. More than any other coins. Great hunt Rob, fun times.
Here in northern MI, the most Canadian’s I’ve had in a box is nearly $2.50 face value. It was nuts. Also scored my first IHP in the same box. On average though, I usually get 40 Canadian’s a box, and a KG6 every 2 boxes.
I’ve been having good luck with customer rolls, averaging around 7-9 wheats, 3-4 foreigns, and decent copper count per $25. I need to get your microscope though. I have some errors that I’m 90% on but I need more certainty. Awesome vid as always Rob!
That’s a lot of Canadian pennies!
Awesome hunt! 😁
That 1994 DDR is beautiful! Congrats! Some nice old KG6 and even some non Canadians. Can’t get mad at all those wheat cents either, thanks for sharing and I smashed that like!
That was one of your coolest penny hunts. I love you out of state hunts.
Nice finds Rob. I went through a penny box a few weeks ago. Found a 1920 King George the fifth penny.
Cool hunt Rob! My son is floating around in NYS – I’ll get him to invest in some boxes! I’d love to use this as a training video – after all, you are the best trainer there is!!😁👍😁
I didn’t know about the 1994 error – will be keeping my eye out for it!
Wow awesome find with that 1994, I’ve looked at thousands of that year & not found one yet, as always great video Rob👍
Sure do enjoy watching your hunts… Haven’t been over here in a while, been Over on Tj’s channel for a while but this is where it all started for me so I come back every once in a while and binge your vids.
I have worked at the same store for 15+ years. I kept every Wheat Penny I came across. I ended up just giving half to a friend who was looking to fill folders. The rest, like $200 worth were rolled up and spent. I could find no one to buy them. The local coin shop has tons.
Where ? City, state? I am looking
Great hunt Rob, keep up the great work
Hello Rob, I have a question. Where do you get the information about the varieties?
Hey Rob, great video. I live in Minnesota. I went to my bank and finally they had a box of bank rolled pennies. 1818D, 1919S, 1937, 1938, 1940 AU, 18 Total wheaties, 15 Canadians 1932 was oldest. I love watching your videos.
that’s really great. wish i could find teens pennies more frequently. To this date the oldest i found was in my cash register as a 1917, and through all the boxes i’ve hunted, i’ve never come up with another teens penny!
