This New and improved version of the Franklin Half Dollar design eliminates all references to government authority and instead glorifies freedom, liberty, and the true philosophy of Benjamin Franklin.
The Franklin Half Dollar was produced by the U.S. Mint between 1948 to 1963. The original version had an American Eagle designed next to the Liberty Bell- a requirement of all U.S. currency to include their symbol of rule and power. It was also only 90% real silver. The coin was minted until the early 1960’s, when the design changed to honor President Kennedy after his assassination.
This 2013 Benjamin Franklin silver coin is .999 fine silver and removes any reference to force, regulation or government tyranny. The coin simply promotes Freedom, Liberty and symbols of American history that empower the individual from any kind of government oppression.
