Searching $1500 in bills ($1 Bills) for Star Notes and Fancy or Cool Serial Numbers! I picked up $1,500 worth of federal reserve notes from local banks hoping to find more star notes and/or fancy serial numbers in these circulated stacks of bills.
I hope you enjoy this bit of bill hunting with me. I was super happy to find not only quite a few $1 star notes BUT a pretty low serial numbered bill as well.
Do you check your bills (money) for fancy or cool serial numbers? If so, what denominations do you hunt most? What is your best serial # score or your oldest bill found?

🔴Web notes are a type of United States currency named after the "web printing production" method of printing on continuous rolls of paper. Between 1992 and 1996, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing experimented to see if a web press that used continuous rolls of paper was quicker and cheaper than intaglio printing, which uses flat sheets. The notes produced were dollar bills from Series 1988A, Series 1993 and Series 1995. They are legal tender and are not considered error notes, although they are somewhat scarce and more valuable than bills produced by the sheet fed method.

Found my first star note ever today in my change jar. It’s a $1 star note, part of a 3,200,000 run, 12,880,000 in total. Less rare but my first star note ever!! Thanks for the inspiration Rob!

I never knew anything about star notes or anything like that but just checked my wallet and had a $1 star! Not rare or anything but still cool and something to look out for.
